Alamein, Egypt – June 30, 2025 (SudaPulse) – President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of Egypt received General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council, on Monday evening in the city of Alamein during his official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt. The two leaders discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and expand avenues of cooperation across all sectors, in line with the aspirations of both nations for mutual development and integration. The meeting also addressed ongoing efforts to rebuild Sudan’s infrastructure and examined the current situation in Sudan. Both leaders emphasized the importance of continued coordination and joint action to safeguard regional water security, and called for respect of international law in a manner that serves the collective interests of all Nile Basin countries. General Al-Burhan expressed deep appreciation for the longstanding ties between Sudan and Egypt, reaffirming Sudan’s commitment to strengthening bonds of brotherhood. He also praised Egypt’s supportive stance toward Sudan in international and regional forums, especially during Sudan’s recent crises, and for providing humanitarian aid. President Al-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s unwavering support for Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and stability, expressing his country’s readiness to enhance cooperation in all fields for the mutual benefit of both peoples.
