Sudanese Ambassador in Tehran: Community Safe, Evacuation Plan in Place

On June 15, 2025, the Sudanese Ambassador to Iran, Abdulaziz Hassan Saleh, confirmed that the Sudanese community in Iran is safe and no injuries have been reported. The embassy has developed a detailed plan to evacuate those who wish to leave, in coordination with the relevant authorities in both Sudan and Iran.

Ambassador Saleh stated that the evacuation plan will be implemented with the support of the Iranian authorities and in coordination with the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, other Sudanese embassies in the region, and the Office of Sudanese Expatriates. He emphasized that all members of the Sudanese community have been informed of the plan and the steps to follow.

The ambassador expressed his gratitude to General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the Chairman of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, for his attention and follow-up on the situation. He also thanked Dr. Kamal Addiris, the Prime Minister, for his support and guidance, which have been crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of the Sudanese community.
